Deadlift Personal Bests!

Below are pictures and respected weights pulled this morning in the 6am class for new personal bests. I apologize to Nancy, Doug and Laura who each also pulled their new PR for not getting a picture. I hope they will post their scores as well.

Great job, truly!

Gordon - 305lbs (2xBW) and Karen - 215lbs

Will - 455 lbs (new PR by 40 lbs) and Jo - 215 lbs

Mike - 385 lbs (new PR by 50 lbs)

I mistakenly noted Jo as pulling 215 lbs but was actually 210 lbs. I am sure that she doesn't mind if I don't tell anyone.

165. failed an attempt at 175, and didn't try again. i guess that wasn't the "aggressive" approach neal was looking for.

props to jo who pulled 210 (despite being beat from rugby!), and karen - rocking out with 215!

I guess I went a little too aggressive! My last time deadlifting was 9 years ago in High School. My PR then was 280 when I weighed 148lbs. Today I pulled 315 3 times. Unfortunately, I strained my left glute on my 3rd rep. I didn't actually get to find my max. It's still twice my body weight (163lbs.) but I wish I could find my real max!

Great work today. Karen totally gets the prize for the most motivational imagery to lift more weight, even if it makes her weepy...and Will's attempts to break the bar in half are always inspiring.

As mentioned, I hit 210.

This has been a great week at CrossFit Boston!!! Numerous new PRs all week. Great work by everyone and I know a few that still have some left in the tank. As stated I hit 455 but failed twice at 475. I think Mike super glued the plates to the floor when I wasn't looking. It is also good to see just how red and horrible I look when pulling at a PR level, I think I should be happy my head didn't explode.
